Universities may also organize their own proficiency exams.

In the Netherlands you may apply to a total of 4 universities out of which only a maximum of 2 can be so called 'Numerus Fixus' programs. These involve a selection procedure based on the ranking number obtained in an entrance exam.

Resume/CV and Recommendation Letters
Having an organized and concise resume is crucial for applications to Dutch universities, as it clearly highlights your qualifications, skills, and experiences, making it easier for admission committees to assess your suitability. Additionally, requesting recommendation letters well in advance ensures your recommenders have enough time to write thoughtful and detailed endorsements, highlighting your strengths accurately.
