Since you've stumbled across this page, you might as well check it out, right? Below you can find the general requirements that will meet the minimum demands of most universities in Denmark. However, these qualifications and required scores vary from one university to another, variation which we cover in our Denmark Universities page as well as in every university's individual page.

01

Danish 7-points scale

Introduced in 2007, the Danish 7 points grading scale was created in order to make Danish grades more comparable to international ones and vice versa. A 7 on this scale actually means a good performance, the maximum grade being a 12 (A) or 12.9 (A*) marking an excellent or flawless exam.

02

English language requirements

The requirements for English language vary from one university to another, but just slightly. Usually, an overall of 6.5 in IELTS, a score of 90 in TOEFL or180 points in either Cambridge Advanced or Proficiency will be enough to get you in any university, no matter the course you are aiming for or the university you have in mind.

Danish language requirements

Most of the courses available at Danish universities are taught in Danish, so, unless you got you eyes on a course that is taught in English, you will need to provide proof of your skills in Danish. That can be done by passing the Study Test in Danish as a Second Language (‘Studieprøven’), which is a qualification nationally recognized or the Danish at A-level exam. Passing either of these will fulfil the Danish language requirements for any university in Denmark.
