Go for it!
Everything you need to know about Austria's application process, from language exams to required documents is summed up on this page, making your experience with applying so much easier.
01
As easy as it can be
Unlike other countries, the Austrian universities do not require as many previously taken exams and qualifications since most of the universities believe that if someone desires a place to study there, they should receive one. You will be required, however, to provide proof of the fact that you finished your secondary school studies and, in some cases, depending on the major you choose, you might be required to have some specific qualifications.
02
German Language
Most of the Austrian universities teach in German, with very few exceptions, which means that a proficient knowledge of the language is required in order to be able to attend courses. Universities in Austria will most often ask for C1 qualifications, but some might ask for more or for less.
The most "popular" German exams are accepted such as, but not limited to: Goethe Zertifikat, DaF, Telc.
03
No Common App!
Every university accepts applications through its own website, so there is no centralized platform where you can submit your application for any university in Austria. Keep in mind to check all the required documents before applying and also the fact that you are required to have them all translated by an authorized translator.

Preparation centers
In case you don't have the required German language qualification, no worries! Most of the Austrian universities offer you the possibility to take part in a preparatory module at the end of which you will have the knowledge needed to pass the C1 German exam. Keep in mind that you need to apply earlier if that's the case and that you need to have at least A2 level in German prior to applying to the training course.
